Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, including Free. The Free plan allows one custom connector, so Samurai Memory can be that one.
Does it cost anything on Samurai Memory?
No. The connector is included in both Samurai Memory plans. The Free plan saves 5 new videos a month; Pro has no limit.
Can Claude change or delete my videos?
No. The connector is read-only: Claude can search your library and read summaries, chapters and transcripts, nothing else.
Can Claude read a YouTube link I paste?
Only once the video is in your library. Claude can't fetch YouTube transcripts by itself, so for a new video it gives you a link that saves it with the Samurai Memory browser extension. Open it, then tell Claude it's done.
How do I disconnect it?
In Samurai Memory, open Settings → Connected apps and click Disconnect. Claude loses access right away. You can also remove the connector in Claude.
Is my library private?
Yes. Claude reads your library only when you ask it something with Samurai Memory turned on, and only the parts it needs to answer. Read our privacy policy.
